SOCHUM

DIRECTOR

Greetings delegates!

My name is Maithili Matey and I will be serving as your director for this year. I was fortunate enough to be a part of ISMMUN’s SPECPOL and ISMMUN’s DISEC as the delegate of Philippines and the delegate of India for the past two consecutive years. I won the best position paper and received a verbal mention respectively.

Apart from this, my hobbies include playing basketball (a little too much), baking and watching k-dramas. So, if you ever need tips on baking or k-drama recommendations, hmu!

Last year, when I entered the conference room, I literally had chills down my spine. But, trust me, there is nothing to be afraid about, as long as you’ve done your research well, the conference will go smoothly. You need to speak with confidence and participate as much as you can. Try to involve yourself and try to make the most of it. Be confident in what you’ve done and, in the end, it will all be worth it. Work hard to earn that confidence and that confidence will guide you. Just believe in your capabilities and you will soar through life.

I assure you that this year’s conference will be worthwhile and I wish to make you experience the most of MUN in our committee. A warm welcome to all of you!

Happy MUN-ing!

SHASHINI DEENADAYALAN

Greetings Delegates!

I am Shashini Deenadayalan and here’s all that you need to know about me.

I love reading books of various genre and a frequent movie watcher (strictly thriller). I also enjoy playing chess, football and cricket. I have participated and won in football house matches, cricket in the zonal level and has also gone for chess nationals. Apart from sports, I have won various awards in the Oman Gavel Club Championship.

I believe in the fact that “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” — Steve Jobs.
