Greetings delegates,

 

Warmest welcome to the Indian School Muscat—Model United Nations 2020, notably to the Group of Twenty (G20). The committee will be headed by Director Geethaanjali Poongodi Kamaraj and Asst. Director Sujal Soni.

As members of the G20, we have a responsibility to create mutual beneficial decisions and long term plans for improvement in the financial status.

The topics of discussion this year were chosen after a lot of discussion and have a lot of potential for debate and Sujal and myself are very eager to see all of you delegates in action. It’s a great honour to be the director for one of the more influential and imperative committees of the UN and I promise to fulfill this authority to the best of my abilities.

MUN has always been a place when one can learn at one’s own pace, where an individual is able to interact with different people of different ideals. It is a place where one can debate and compromise.

MUN gives delegates an opportunity to think for themselves what it would feel like to part of an association upon which the fate of society rests. It helps an individual to learn when and how to bring up valid arguments even in the greatest of dilemmas and I hope delegates will be able to take back valuable memories and skills.

I would like to thank the Sec. Gen. and Dir. Gen. for giving me and Sujal such a reputed committee and capable delegates. I hope that when session ends, delegates will find that it had been a rewarding one.
