CCPCJ

Dear delegates,

It is an honor to welcome you to the Indian School Muscat – Model United Nations 2020 and especially to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ). In this world of ever-increasing national and trans-national crime, CCPCJ plays an important role in ensuring that everyone has access to a platform where their deepest concerns for safety and protection are addressed for the global advantage.

The Commission acts as the principal policymaking body of the United Nations in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice and it also provides a forum to exchange information, as well as national and international strategies for combating crime and enforcing justice.

Throughout your journey at ISM-MUN 2020, you will be accompanied by and aided by Tanisha Singh (Director) and Amritya Singh (Assistant Director). As your DAIS, we pledged to look for the most significant, pressing and need-of-the-hour topics to make your experience not only exciting but also enlightening. The topics for discussion are The Opioid Crisis and Prevention of Animal Cruelty.

Amritya and I are undoubtedly anticipating the constructive debate between you delegates in order to reach a consensus regarding both topics but until then wish you all the best for your preparations and do not hesitate to reach out to us regarding any queries on the committee and the conference. We look forward to meeting you at ISM-MUN 2020!
